Driver drowsiness detection

In the framework of the Advanced Driver Assistance systems we, in Vicomtech, are deploying, we focused on the creation of a computer vision method to determine the attention and drowsiness of a driver.

We have used face detection and 3D face modeling algorithms to determine the position of the face in the images, track it during the sequence, and locate the position of the eyes.

We trained a database for open-close eyes with HOG and SVM, and here you can see a sample video of the results.
